VPSDepot Benchmark

Right, a quick and “dirty” benchmark report for VPSDepot — a company of whom I have only been a customer with since 02/06/2012. This is not a review, it is just a quick benchmark, that’s all.
I have two servers with VPSDepot at almost 70 bucks a month per server, but I decided to cancel one of them two days ago, seeing as it is possible to get a considerably better and cheaper server elsewhere.

Here is my benchmark report for VPSDepot, enjoy it.

System Specifications:

  • RAM: 4 GB
  • CPU Model: Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU E5640 @ 2.67GHz
  • CPU Cores: 2
  • CPU Freq: 2000 MHz
  • CPU Cache: 12288 KB

The benchmark will cover:

  • Bandwidth
  • IOPing I/O
  • dd I/O
  • FIO
  • UnixBench

Sorry for the crappy formatting, but I hope these numbers can be of use to anybody who is looking into getting a VPS with VPSDepot. Frankly, the cost is too much for this sort of performance
