Benchmark of Berry Servers

Hi friends,

I reckon, most people who know the k0nsl, they also know I’m a sucker for new stuff, right? Well…not in a material sense, of course! I could care less for any material things. But back to “Berry Servers”: when they launched their VPS line I almost hit the order button instantly, at the prospect of getting a few more cheap IRC nodes + new nodes for DNS clustering, but I kept trying to resist it, telling myself I’ve no use for more…fruitless! I was only able to resist for one day before I finally ordered one. Yes, it was weak of me.
I am the first person to admit that

Berry Servers offers very cheap yearly VPS Hosting in Phoenix, Arizona.

At any rate, I am currently testing their ‘Blueberry’-plan — which they upgraded to a “Dewberry” in the end (only the memory was upgraded, IIRC)

I’ll run the “Shoahbench” on it when I’ve done more tweaks to the script + more [UPDATE: this has now been added, see above]. Right now I’m going to sit back a few months to evaluate their offering. As I always do.
So far nothing out of the ordinary save for a mishap on launch. Not a big deal. They fixed it and my service is working fine so far.
